Job Summary: The Fire & Sprinkler Draftsman prepares detailed fire, alarm and sprinkler system drawings for coworking fit – out projects. The role converts designs and calculations into precise, code-compliant layouts that support approvals, procurement, and execution, while ensuring proper coordination with other services.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Prepare layouts for sprinkler piping,sprinkler head locations, fire alarm devices, detectors, MCPs, panels, and related fire systems as per design team inputs.
2.Update drawings based on design revisions, authority comments, and site changes.
3.Ensure drawings follow NBC,NFPA,and local fire authority requirements as guided by the design team.
4.Maintain a structured drawing register, tracking issue dates, revisions, and approval status.
5.Create drawings required for BOQs, tenders,and contractor execution (plans, riser diagrams, details).
6.Coordinate with other services to avoid clashes (ceiling layouts, HVAC ducts, lighting, etc.).
7.Issue GFC fire and sprinkler drawings to site and incorporate red-line mark-ups.
8.Prepare as-built fire andsprinkler drawings for submission to authorities and internal records.
9.Maintain CAD standards, symbology, and documentation protocols consistently.
Qualifications & Skill
- Diploma / ITI in Draftsmanship (Mechanical/Fire) or related field.
- 2–5 years’ experience as fire/sprinkler draftsman in building or interior projects.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of fire design tools is an advantage.
- Basic understanding of fire protection layouts and coordination with other services.
