Experience Range: 4-5 years of experience in architectural drafting or a related field is preferred, with a portfolio demonstrating proficiency in drafting and design skills is advantageous.

Role Summary : 

The Architectural draftsman will create technical drawings from the designs of architects and engineers. Incorporate measurements and building codes for construction, use CAD software to print schematics for use by architects, building contractors, and engineers, and enter CAD data to create 3-D design models. Will visit sites to take measurements for existing and upcoming projects and update the same on drawings. Will maintain an as-built database of all projects in collaboration with the design team

Key Deliverables :

• Drafting and Design: Produce detailed architectural drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, and details, using computer-aided design (CAD) software such as AutoCAD or Revit.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with architects and other team members to understand project requirements, objectives, and design intent.
• Documentation: Prepare and maintain project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and schedules, ensuring accuracy and adherence to standards and regulations.
• Technical Expertise: Apply knowledge of building codes, regulations, and construction techniques to ensure that designs meet legal and safety standards.
• Problem-solving: Identify and resolve design issues or discrepancies that may arise during the design and construction process.
• Quality Assurance: Review drawings and documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements and standards.
• Communication: Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, contractors, and clients, to convey design intent and resolve any design-related issues.
• Site Work: Will visit sites to take measurements for existing and upcoming projects and update the same on drawings.
• Database Management: Will maintain an as-built database of all projects in collaboration with the design team.
• Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry trends, software advancements, and best practices in architectural drafting and design.

Key Competencies and Skills:

• Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar programs.
• Strong understanding of architectural principles, construction techniques, and building codes.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in drafting and documentation.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• A degree or diploma in architectural drafting, architecture, or a related field is typically required.
