Job Summary: The Senior Manager of Capex Procurement will oversee and manage the capital expenditure procurement activities, ensuring cost-effective and timely acquisition of capital assets such as machinery, equipment, and infrastructure. This role requires a professional with strong negotiation, strategic sourcing, and vendor management skills, combined with a deep understanding of Capex projects.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Sourcing:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for capital projects.
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers to ensure the best value for the company.
- Conduct market analysis to anticipate trends and assess procurement risks.
2. Vendor Management:
- Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers and contractors.
- Negotiate favourable terms, contracts, and service agreements with vendors.
- Ensure vendor performance meets organizational standards in terms of quality, cost, and timelines.
3. Budget and Cost Management:
- Manage and control Capex procurement budgets, ensuring compliance with financial objectives.
- Monitor spending to identify and capitalize on cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
4. Contract Management:
- Lead contract negotiations for capital projects, ensuring alignment with legal, financial, and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the full lifecycle of contracts from initiation to execution and renewal.
5. Team Leadership and Development
- Lead and mentor the procurement team, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and personal development.
