Job Summary:
A Senior MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) Engineer is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of MEP systems in building projects. This role requires extensive experience in engineering design, project management, and collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure the successful completion of construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and Development:
Lead the design and development of MEP systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
Ensure designs comply with all relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
Prepare detailed engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications.
Project Management:
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to integrate MEP systems seamlessly.
Conduct site visits to monitor progress, ensure adherence to design specifications, and address any issues.
Technical Expertise:
Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and project teams.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex MEP system issues.
Quality Assurance:
Conduct thorough reviews of MEP designs and specifications to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Implement and maintain quality control procedures.
Perform risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
Client Interaction:
Engage with clients to understand their requirements and expectations.
Present design proposals and project updates to clients.
Address client concerns and provide expert advice.
Documentation and Reporting:
Prepare comprehensive project documentation, including design reports, operation manuals, and maintenance schedules.
Generate regular progress reports and communicate effectively with all project stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering (or related field). Master’s degree preferred.
Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in MEP engineering, with a significant portion in a senior or lead role.
Proficiency in MEP design software such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and other relevant tools.
Strong understanding of building codes, standards, and regulations.
Excellent project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
