Responsibilities:
- Create detailed drawings for construction projects based on guidelines, specifications, and calculations provided by architects and engineers.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives.
- Prepare and review rough sketches, layouts, and blueprints to ensure they conform to design specifications and standards.
- Modify drawings as necessary to correct errors, accommodate changes, or improve clarity.
- Ensure all drawings are complete, accurate, and ready for submission to clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
- Maintain and organize all versions of drawings, revisions, and related project documents.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior draftsmen and assist in their professional development.
- Stay updated on advancements in CAD software and drafting technologies to enhance efficiency and quality of work.
- Participate in project meetings and coordinate with the project team to address design issues and refine drawings.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Drafting, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a draftsman, with at least 3+ years in a senior or lead role.
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.) and other drafting tools.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
- Excellent technical drawing skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Effective communication skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- Time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Problem-solving abilities to address design issues and implement solutions.
